Announcements for April 2021

Holy Week Services:

-Maundy Thursday Divine Service, 7:00 pm

-Good Friday Divine Service, 7:00 pm

-Easter Sunrise Divine Service, 6:30 am

Breakfast (following Sunrise Service in the church basement)

-Easter Day Divine Service, 9:00 am

Easter Breakfast will be served between the two Easter morning services by the “Quilting for Christ” group. A free will donation will be taken to help purchase necessary materials for sewing and finishing quilts. Last year 58 quilts were sewed and sent to Lutheran World Relief. Please join us Sunday, April 4th following the Sunrise Service.

Bishop (President) Brian Saunders will preach at St. John Lutheran Church Sunday, April 18th during Divine Service and will report on the status of the district and synod during the Adult Bible class hour. He will also be available for questions.

“God’s Wonder Lab” is the theme for this year’s VBS. Please plan to attend, invite neighbors, and friends. The date has been set for August 2-6, 2021. Peanut butter jar lids, approximately 3-4 inches in diameter, are needed for a craft project. A box is provided in the narthex for the lids.

Bible Study: Adult Bible class is held each Sunday following fellowship time. Midweek Bible study is held Wednesday morning at 9:00 am with the LifeLight study of Ezra/Nehemiah. Devotions start at 8:45 am.

Church Council meeting Monday, April 19th at 7:00 pm.

Quarterly Voters’ Meeting will be held April 25th following fellowship time.

Daily Matins continues Monday through Thursday mornings at 8:30 am.

“Quilting for Christ” Group continues to meet Thursday mornings at 9:00 am.
