Congregational Announcements for September 2021

Wednesday Morning Bible Class will begin September 15 at 9:00am with the LifeLight study of Ephesians/1 & 2 Thessalonians. Study guides are available on the resource table in the narthex. Matins will be prayed at 8:30am. Everyone is encouraged to attend!

Confirmation Class will begin September 15 with orientation September 8 at 7:00pm. Students in 6th through 8th grade attending Confirmation, along with their parents, will meet for a brief introductory meeting with Pastor Van Hemert. See Pastor if you have any questions.

Offering is now being collected following the Offertory during Divine Service. Those who prefer may leave their offering in the plate on the side table at the end of service.

The RAGBRAI Committee would like to thank everyone who contributed their time to help our congregation with our food booth. It was a very warm day and we appreciated so many of you helping with the setup, serving the bike riders and the tearing down. We were able to show a profit for our efforts that will be used toward our 75th Anniversary Celebration next year. Many thanks to all!

Voters’ Assembly approved the purchase of red and white colored paraments through donations given by the congregation. To donate, please write “paraments” on your offering envelope or a separate envelope with the amount donated.

Pastor’s Student Loan: The congregation voted to assist in paying Pastor’s student loan through Thrivent Choice Dollars and donations by the congregation. Please write on your offering envelope the amount and “Student Loan” if you would like to donate to this fund.

September Plate Offering is designated for Lutheran Bible Translators.
